Eugene G. Lipov, MD, DABA, FABA, Medical Director

Eugene Lipov, MD is board certified in Anesthesiology as well as Pain Management. He graduated from Northwestern University Undergraduate with a degree in Biochemistry and completed his MD from Northwestern University Medical School in 1984. He then attended Rush St. Luke’s Medical Center to pursue advanced training in Anesthesiology and Pain Management.

Dr. Lipov is currently an Assistant Professor at Rush St. Luke’s Hospital. He continues to be actively involved in the main academic and research aspects of pain management. He is an instructor for ISIS (Internal Spine Injection Society) and a member of the ISIS Educational Community. Dr. Lipov was one of the first physicians in Chicago to use IDET (Intradiscal Electrothermal Therapy) and continues to be a National Instructor for ORATEC, the company that developed IDET.

Jay Joshi , MD, DABA, FABA, Director of Research

Jay Joshi, M.D.Jay Joshi, MD is a fellowship trained, board certified Anesthesiologist and Interventional Pain Management physician. He was part of an accelerated honors medical program at the UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. He finished his college education in 3 years and was one of the youngest graduates of his medical school class. He also had a full academic scholarship and an additional private scholarship. He subsequently went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University and completed extensive training in Anesthesiology at Henry Ford Hospital. During his residency, Dr. Joshi provided intraoperative anesthesia and medical management for extremely challenging cases that included organ transplants, traumatic injuries, and medically complicated patients.

He then completed a rigorous Interventional Pain Management Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital. This is one of the busiest and most comprehensive fellowship programs in the country. He also had the opportunity to work at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, where he worked on global policies for alcohol and tobacco cessation.

Dr. Joshi's strong medical and procedure based background allows him to manage patients with chronic pain syndromes using traditional and innovative interventional techniques. He has a great deal of experience with diverse patient populations.

He compliments his medical background with an interest in non-medical subjects, including traveling, photography, music, and sports.
